Community Intervention & Educational Services is a community agency that services Winston-Salem and surrounding counties. The agency’s focus is to support and empower families and individuals in need of advocacy and quality support services stemming from crises. We believe that being able to do this takes a strong partnering with the judicial system, mental health providers, law enforcement, and those that do other services that help those in the community. The Cool Program our approved Domestic Violence Offender Program is approved by the state of NC to provide services to those who have been ordered, referred or those who chose to get a psyco-education on how to have healthier relationships with those we are in intimate relationships with.



Community Intervention and Educational Services believes that ending any type of violence against women, men, and children requires a connection with organizations and individuals to create a clear vision and collective voice for social and systemic change. Holding the offender accountable for his or her actions and making all necessary attempts to keep the victim safe, is what we strive to accomplish in our work. Community Intervention & Educational Services' vision is to support and strengthen North Carolina‘s response to domestic violence and violence in general through training, public awareness, technical assistance, and to promote social change through the implementation of state and federal policy.

Community Intervention & Educational Services structure reflects its philosophy and commitment to collective decision-making and egalitarian relations. Community Intervention & Educational Services community-based organization that is operated by a team of leaders with experience working with offenders, victims, and youths. All of our staff members have experience with working in the court system, collaborating with the judicial system, probation parole, the police department, and substance abuse programs to advocate for a healthier stronger community. Our agency staff is knowledgeable in all areas of Domestic Violence, Violence in general, Preventive Programs, and Services for Victims and offenders, and is capable of representing various unserved populations.

Our staff members are very aware of the need to continue educating the community and the judicial system on how violence destroys families, businesses, and prosperity in our community. We believe everyone has the right to feel safe and secure within oneself.
